The farm is located in Chesterfield, a small farming community in northern Burlington County, New Jersey. All land we farm is permanently preserved under the New Jersey Farmland Preservation program.
Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program supplies local consumers with Jersey Fresh™ produce. When you purchase a CSA share, you are supporting open space, sustainability, and local business.
Our goal is to provide high quality vegetables at a reasonable price. Post-harvest handling is a priority and an important factor that ensures top quality and freshness.
Over the past 26 years, we have perfected crop rotation, utilized compost in the growing process, and successfully grown cover crops during the winter months. These strategies have allowed us to mature our soil.
We grow all of our own plants in greenhouses on the farm from seed. We start this process in February, and it continues throughout the season. The young transplants are typically moved from greenhouses and planted in our fields in mid April.
