Chesterfield Harvest is a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, for the 2012 growing season. From May 15th to November, take home a bounty of our freshly harvested vegetables.
Along with my husband, Alan, and my six children, we run a sustainable farm located in the agricultural community of Chesterfield, New Jersey. Our family owned farm was established in 1988, and throughout its years of service it has continued to be an example of sustainable agriculture in the state of New Jersey. When you visit our farm you’ll see that we offer farm-fresh, naturally grown vegetables and herbs.
Alan is a Co Owner and the Farm Manager. During the cold winter months here on the farm, he plants seeds in our greenhouses. In the spring we transplant these seedlings by taking them from the greenhouses to the fields. Alan has taken special care in all the vegetables, herbs, and flowers that he has grown.
Our farm has been delivering fresh produce, herbs and cut flowers to supermarkets, specialty shops, and three Farmer Markets (Bernardsville, Morristown, and Red Bank), all in New Jersey for approximately 15 years. Alan is licensed by the NJDA (New Jersey Division of Agriculture) to pack and ship any of our products using the Jersey Fresh Logo. He is also a long standing member of the NJVGA (New Jersey Vegetable Growers Association), PVGA(Pennsylvania Vegetable Grower Association) and the Farm Bureau of NJ. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees with the NJ Council of Farmers and Community.
My name is Carol and I am co-owner of our farm. As our business grew, so did our family! I’m the proud mother of six children. I assist Alan with post-harvest operations here at Chesterfield Harvest. I make sure that all of our vegetables, herbs, and flowers are properly cared for after harvest and while we wait for you to come pick them up! I’ve also been involved with natural healthy eating for 30 years and have attended seminars on the energy and quality of natural vegetables. All of my wonderful children have supported the farm and worked in various ways. With the children’s help and support our family owned business has been able to grow. Our family lives and works on the home farm where the crops are grown, cared for, and gathered and can’t wait to meet you and share our farm experience!
Take a look around our site and see what we have to offer!
